Dear local JASNA members and friends,
This spring and summer we had lovely discussions – both on Zoom and in person – about Austen’s Juvenilia and a variety of other subjects. We were so grateful to be able to touch base with several of you at that time.

However, our little executive committee is not out of the pandemic woods quite yet. Most of us have demanding jobs in public health and public education that the “new normal” of living on COVIDtimes directly affects. We all have had various personal needs to tend to at this time, as well. Considering the Delta variant and the low vaccination rates in our county, we also want to be extra-cautious with the health of our members.
We have no intention of letting our region go dormant, but we do ask for your patience as we take some of the time and space we need. We fully intend to return to an in-person meeting – whether indoors or out – in the warmth of late April. Please keep an eye on your email for announcement of that discussion!
In the meantime, look into the activities of some nearby regions, both online and off, and continue to follow various JASNA groups who are active on Facebook.
Thank you,
Heather Parish
Regional Coordinator, Central California.
